Finding out you're pregnant? It may be time to revisit your skincare routine. While many ingredients are considered safe, a few should be stopped immediately and others are best used under medical guidance.
Stop Using ❌
These ingredients are generally not recommended during pregnancy:
- Retinoids (Retinol, Tretinoin, Adapalene, Isotretinoin)
- Hydroquinone
- Oral Tetracyclines
- Spironolactone
- Finasteride
Alpha Arbutin: While not proven harmful, it breaks down into small amounts of hydroquinone on the skin. Since there isn't enough pregnancy data available, it's best to avoid it or speak to your dermatologist.
