  • For lymphatic drainage, move strokes toward the heart (legs towards heart, shoulders to heart, belly to heart etc)

    Kansa Wand:

, ensuring it's free of any makeup or product residue.
  • Apply a thin layer of facial oil (such as Dearist Sea Buckthorn Berry & Calendula Oil or Dearist Precious Saffron Oil) or Dearist Aloe Vera Gel to facilitate smooth gliding and prevent friction.
  • Using a double-sided Kansa Wand allows you to address both larger and smaller areas of the face, enhancing your overall skincare routine.
  • Use the smaller side: The smaller side is typically designed for delicate areas like under the eyes and around the nose. Use gentle, upward strokes in these areas to help reduce puffiness and improve circulation. It can also be used on scalp pressure points to release stress.
  • Use the larger side: The larger side is intended for broader areas of the face, such as the cheeks and forehead. Use firm, upward strokes to promote lymphatic drainage and stimulate circulation. You can use circular motions for a more relaxing effect.
  • Apply light to moderate pressure.
    a. For facial massage, move outward from the centre with upward and outward motions, following the natural contour of your face.
    b. For body massage, For optimal lymphatic drainage, use the Kansa Wand by moving it upwards towards your heart. For legs, start at your feet and move up; for arms, begin at your hands and move towards your heart.
  • After using the wand, continue with your regular skincare routine. Clean the Kansa Wand thoroughly after each use to maintain its effectiveness and hygiene.

FAQs
What’s the benefit of using the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator instead of just your hands?

While hand massage is great, this tool offers more consistent pressure and precision. The Kansa prongs reach deeper tension points and provide a cooling, grounding sensation that’s difficult to replicate with fingers alone. It also reduces hand strain, making it easier to massage for longer — especially helpful when oiling the scalp or easing tight muscles.

What does the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator do for the scalp?

It helps improve scalp blood circulation, which supports overall hair health and can lead to stronger, denser-looking hair over time. It also relieves tightness in high-tension areas like the crown, temples, and base of the skull.

The tool is gentle enough to use daily, even on a dry scalp. Adjust the pressure to your comfort level.

What are the benefits of using the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator on the body?

Used on the body, it helps release muscular tension, improve circulation, and support lymphatic drainage. Circular or sweeping motions move stagnant fluids, leaving your body feeling lighter and more relaxed.

For lymphatic benefits, always massage toward the heart:– From legs: move upward– From shoulders: glide down toward the chest

Can I use the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator daily?

Yes — it's gentle enough for everyday use.

  • Scalp: Use on dry hair or after oiling to boost nutrient absorption
  • Body: Always use with oil or aloe vera gel for a smooth glide

Even 5–10 minutes a day can make a noticeable difference. Adjust pressure as needed.

Where should I use the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator on the body?

Use it anywhere you feel tension or stagnation:

  • Shoulders and neck for stress relief
  • Belly (in a clockwise motion) to support digestion
  • Thighs and legs to reduce puffiness or water retention

Arms and back to relax tight muscles

What is the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator made of?

It’s made from pure Kansa (a traditional alloy of copper and tin) and sustainably sourced wood. Kansa has been used in Ayurveda for centuries to balance body energy, support circulation, and restore skin vitality. The metal's conductivity allows it to interact beneficially with the skin, making it a popular choice in traditional Ayurvedic skincare and haircare practices.

Are Kansa tools better than crystal tools (like jade or rose quartz)?

Both have their strengths.

  • Crystal tools help cool the skin and improve lymphatic drainage.
  • Kansa tools go deeper, offering muscle stimulation, contouring, and pH balancing properties due to the metal’s copper-tin composition.

For deeper tissue work and blood circulation, the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator is often more effective.

Is the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Generally, yes. The tool is non-invasive and can help reduce puffiness. That said, it’s always best to consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice.

Avoid the belly and inner ankle areas during pregnancy unless specifically approved by a professional.

How do I clean the Kansa Scalp & Body Stimulator?

Before first use, clean with a mild, chemical-free soap (like castile or goat’s milk soap), then towel dry.

Natural cleaning tips:

  • Tea Tree Oil: Apply a few drops to a dry cloth for gentle sterilisation
  • White Kaolin Clay: Make a paste with water, apply to the prongs, rinse, and dry

Avoid soaking the tool or using harsh detergents, which can damage the wood and metal.

How can I clean my Kansa Tools?

Upon receiving your Kansa Gua Sha, wash it with a chemical-free soap [like castile soap or goats milk soap]. Gently towel dry the tool before use.

Natural Alternatives to clean Kansa:

Tea Tree Oil: For natural sterilisation, apply a few drops of tea tree oil on a dry muslin cloth and rub the wand.

White Kaolin Clay: This clay helps to remove residue. Mix the clay with water to create a paste, apply it to the wand, then rinse with cold water and towel dry.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives to clean your Kansa Gua Sha.

How often should I use the Kansa Wand?

For optimal results, use the Kansa Wand daily for 10-15 minutes as part of your skincare routine.

Can I use the Kansa Wand on sensitive skin?

Yes, the Kansa Wand is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Use gentle pressure to avoid irritation. Avoid using the tool on active acne, open cuts or wounds.

Which skincare products can I pair with a Kansa Wand?

For optimal use, the Kansa Wand requires a slip—apply facial oils or aloe vera gel before massaging. This not only ensures smooth gliding but also enhances the absorption of these products.

We recommend Dearist Sea Buckthorn Berry & Calendula Oil for all skin types, including oily skin, and Dearist Precious Saffron Oil for dry and mature skin.

What is the Kansa Wand made of?

Kansa is an alloy primarily composed of copper and tin, and other metals with varying proportions. It is known for its therapeutic and health benefits in Ayurveda, such as balancing the doshas (body energies), Kansa is believed to have a balancing effect on the body's energy and is often used in tools which help detoxify the skin, improve circulation, and restore a natural glow. The metal's conductivity allows it to interact beneficially with the skin, making it a popular choice in traditional Ayurvedic skincare and haircare practices.
