A truly precious oil, suitable for dry and mature skin, extracted over a hundred hours to create an elixir that blends Kashmiri saffron with red sandalwood and manjishtha. It smoothes the look of fine lines and texture, brightens and visibly plumps locking in moisture.

Does it leave a thick, sticky residue?

No, it has a lightweight texture without a sticky residue, thanks to 40% saffron oil thinned out with clean ingredients like Caprylic Capric Triglyceride derived from coconut and Heptyl Undecylenate derived from castor. The inclusion of these ingredients facilitates the easy absorption of kumkumadi thailam, maximising its effectiveness.

Does it work for all skin types?

Ideal for normal to dry mature skin. It can also help regulate oil production for some oily or acne-prone skin types.

Can I use Precious Saffron Oil with actives?

We do not recommend mixing Dearist Precious Saffron Oil with Vitamin C, Retinol, Exfoliating Acids. Use them on alternate days or at different times (e.g., Vitamin C in the morning and Precious Saffron Oil at night, or vice versa with retinol).

It is safe to use with Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide Acid. For Hyaluronic Acid, apply it on damp skin first to attract moisture, followed by Precious Saffron Oil to seal in hydration.For Niacinamide, apply Niacinamide Acid first, then follow with Dearist Precious Saffron Oil.

How often should I be using the Precious Saffron Oil?

It can be used daily in your skin care routine. We recommend using it in your PM routine over AM routine. If you are using other active ingredients or skin care products, use Precious Saffron Oil at least twice a week.

Why have you added Caprylic Capric Triglyceride and Heptyl Undecylenate?

By itself, kumkumadi taila can sit on the surface of the skin and feel heavy, especially when the weather is warm and humid. Caprylic Capric Triglyceride and Heptyl Undecylenate are super smooth non-comedogenic (non clogging) ingredients that help lock in moisture while improving absorption and wearability.

Is Precious Saffron Oil safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

All our products are formulated with ingredients that are safe to use for children, during pregnancy and postpartum. However we always recommended consulting with your healthcare provider and dermatologist. We advise conducting a patch test before widespread use to rule out any potential sensitivities or allergies.

Is this formulation vegan?

No. Traditionally, kumkumadi thailam is made with goat's milk. This milk contains lactic acid, a gentle exfoliant that helps remove dead skin cells and promote cell renewal. Goat's milk also nourishes the skin, so we’ve kept the formulation as is. However, if you're looking for a vegan alternative for a facial oil, Dearist Sea Buckthorn Berry & Calendula Oil is a great option.

Always apply our Precious Saffron Oil to cleansed, damp skin or over water-based products. Avoid using it on dry skin to achieve a radiant, glowing complexion.

For Normal, Dry and Mature Skin

Option 1:

Cleanse and pat dry.
Spray Pure Rose Water/a hydrating toner
Apply 1-3 drops of Precious Saffron Oil.

For an antioxidant boost, mix 1-3 drops of Sea Buckthorn Berry & Calendula Oil with Precious Saffron Oil while applying.

Option 2:

Cleanse and pat dry.
(Optional) Spray Pure Rose Water/a hydrating toner
Mix Aloe Vera Gel with 1-3 drops of Precious Saffron Oil in your palms
Apply and massage it into your skin gently.

For Face Massage

Cleanse and pat dry.
Spray Dearist Pure Rose Water/ a hydrating toner
Push-press Precious Saffron Oil into the skin.
Use the Kansa Wand, Kansa Roller or Kansa Gua Sha to reduce puffiness and promote lymphatic drainage.
Avoid areas with active acne or sensitisation.

How to Recycle and Repurpose?

Rinse out your glass bottle, then put it in your designated recycling bin for glass. Please recycle paper packaging by ensuring it is clean and dry. Remove any non-recyclable components before placing it in your recycling bin.

Give your bottles a new life! Simply wash them with soapy water, a vinegar and water mix, or an alcohol solution. Let them dry completely. These versatile bottles are perfect for refilling with your favourite beauty products for travel. Alternatively, you could remove the glass dropper, and use the airtight containers to store spices, herbs and tinctures.
